Research & Development
In our Research and Development department, we are constantly working on pioneering projects that set new standards - from sustainable drive technologies and safe flight concepts to innovative 3D printing processes. Projects such as FD3D², Flhysafe, H²finity and Aero SH reflect our passion for progress, efficiency and sustainability.
Our projects
Project H2 FINITY
Research and testing of a scalable hydrogen powertrain for light and medium aircraft
H2 FINITY realizes a scalable hybrid-electric drive train for the energy carrier hydrogen (H2) for light aircraft. Fuel cells provide the electrical power for the actual flight propulsion. In a pragmatic and practical approach, the aim is to develop a technology that is ready for flight and certification and that can be used quickly and directly for a wide range of aircraft and applications after the end of the project.

HYDRO-BUNNY project
Milestone for climate-neutral aviation - TECCON drives hydrogen propulsion for UAVs forward
In the H2-FINITY research project, we worked with our partners to realize the successful maiden flight of a hydrogen-powered UAV - a strong impetus for emission-free aviation technology. With the follow-up project HYDRO-BUNNY, we are now developing an autonomous refueling solution with locally produced hydrogen - fully automatically and efficiently, even in terrain that is difficult to access. Funded by EFRE / IFB Hamburg | In cooperation with ZAL, mb+Partner & TU Hamburg (IFPT).
Project AERO-SH
Progress for the air mobility of tomorrow
On August 1, 2025, the AERO-SH project will enter its three-year implementation phase - and we at TECCON Consulting & Engineering GmbH are proud to be involved as a technology partner. Together with Kiel University of Applied Sciences, we are transferring proven principles from automotive development to unmanned aviation. The aim is to create a scalable, software-supported development kit that can be used to produce cargo drones economically and adapt them flexibly for different applications in rural areas - e.g. on the islands of northern Germany.
